The Prusa INDX is the first multicolor 3D printer that is nearly waste free. No purge, no prime tower, just a few colorful crumbs the size of a Nerds candy wiped off with a silicone brush and dropped in a little cup inside the printer.
I've been excited about toolchangers since Prusa introduced the five head XL, but this one takes the cake. It's fast, auto leveling is a breeze, and it (thankfully) calibrates itself.

What's to Love?
It's easy enough for a kid to use, but also...NASA.
It can be fully operated offline, so no pesky cloud to deal with. Or if you like a cloud, there's a Prusa cloud. Your choice!
Prusa is all about Right to Repair. This is your machine, you can fix it, mod it, print out new parts and mount it on a robot. (I've seen this done with a Core One.)
Need help? Besides a pretty solid community of makers, Prusa has 24-7 English speaking tech help. Just fire up the chat, and they will talk you through your problem.
American Made! Prusa has teamed up with Printed Solid, which has become Prusa USA (name changing pending).
What's to Hate?
Do I love my Prusa printers? Yes. Yes I do. But they're not perfect.
There's no way to tell the printer what colors you're loading onto the machine. This can get tedious now that we can load it up with eight colors. I end up loading the printer, the snapping a photo to take back to the slicer.
Loading filament is manual, which again, can take a hot second when dealing with eight spools.

The INDX is actually a mod you add onto a Prusa Core One (+) or Core One L(+). If you already have a Prusa Core printer, you can turn it into an INDX with an afternoon of tinkering. Or maybe a whole weekend, depending on your urgency. (It took us a weekend.)
